Chelsea among clubs keen on Atalanta midfielder

Arsenal and Chelsea are firmly in the hunt to sign Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante, with the 23-year-old's representatives flying to London for talks in recent weeks, reports claim.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal will likely be looking to appoint a new manager at the end of the season, but that hasn't appeared to stop either side from planning ahead of the transfer window.

With the rumour that Arsenal are ready to give up on Granit Xhaka and sell the Swiss global, they will be looking at signing new midfielders in the summer.

Cristante's representatives reportedly met with Premier League clubs in London earlier this week to discuss a possible move, although teams in Italy and Germany are also thought to be monitoring the situation. You can't tell everything through a YouTube video, but he looks good!

Cristante, who came through at AC Milan, was signed by Benfica for almost £5million in 2014, but his first-team chances were limited and he was loaned to Palermo and Pescara.

The sixth-placed Serie A side will exercise a €4m purchase option in the summer and could well sell him immediately after scoring 12 goals and grabbing four assists in 44 appearances.
