A Binghamton University student died after he was stabbed on campus, university officials said on the Binghamton University Facebook page.
According to the University, a 19-year-old male student was stabbed on campus around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. University officials said they would release more information about the student's family was notified.
Investigators have been interviewing people throughout the night and it does not appear that this was a random act.
Since the first alert, reports of a suspect have been issued.
The suspected attacker is a light-skinned male wearing dark trousers and a dark, Puma hooded sweatshirt, the university said.
