Arnold Schwarzenegger breaks silence following emergency open-heart surgery: 'I woke up!'

After emergency surgery, Arnold's representative said the previous senator is back after expected to be a less obtrusive technique to supplant a valve set in back in 1997 because of the intrinsic heart deformity.

Ketchell went on to express his thanks to Schwarzenegger's "entire medical team for their tireless efforts", and in a follow-up tweet, he revealed the 70-year-old's sense of humor remains fully intact, as he uttered a line similar to his famous Terminator catchphrase, "I'll be back". "I woke up, and that's something to be thankful for", Schwarzenegger added, thanking the doctors and nurses involved in the procedure.

Reports earlier in the day mistakenly stated that the action movie hero had undergone emergency open-heart surgery.

The surgery took place at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

ARNOLD Schwarzenegger has spoken out for the first time since undergoing open heart surgery - telling fans: "I'm back".

"Governor Schwarzenegger's pulmonic valve was successfully replaced and he is now recovering from the surgery and in a stable condition. And I'm truly filled with gratitude for all of the kind messages from all of you". During that procedure, Ketchall wrote, an open-heart surgery team was prepared, "as they frequently are in these circumstances", thus Schwarzenegger's larger incision.

In 1997, the same year Batman & Robin was released where he played Mr Freeze, he had to have a procedure that replaced an aortic valve, which was made from his own transplanted tissue.
