Officials announced Thursday WWE WrestleMania 35 will return to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey Sunday, April 7, 2019, as well as additional events held throughout the region during the days surrounding the company's biggest pay-per-view of the year.

The MetLife was also the location of WrestleMania 29, in which John Cena defeated The Rock for the WWE Championship in the main event. "Our motto right after we had it was, 'Bring it back'".

Another big part of WrestleMania Week will be the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, NXT TakeOver, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE, all of which will take place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Prepare yourself as The Grandest Stage of Them All returns to New York-New Jersey on April 2019.

Although not yet confirmed by WWE, the official announcement is expected to come Friday morning.

The last time WrestleMania emanated from MetLife Stadium, they had heaters installed in the ring posts just in case the weather was not up to snuff.

With WrestleMania coming to the Meadowlands next year, it would make sense for WWE to decide against putting SummerSlam in the same city.

"It really is wonderful when you start talking about how excited people get when you say WrestleMania is coming to this region again and when it was coming the first time how excited people got from it", said Van DeVeen, who worked with NYC & Company, the NJ Sports and Exposition Authority, Brooklyn Sport & Entertainment and others on the bid. Barstool Sports reported earlier this year that WWE decided on going with the New York - New Jersey area again after heavily considering Philadelphia and Detroit.

This year's Wrestlemania is being held in New Orleans.
