For those not familiar The Room, Wiseau's antics were captured perfectly in last year's film, The Disaster Artists, starring James Franco and Seth Rogen.
We know it's a long shot, but imagine if Tommy Wiseau really did join the ranks of Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger, and Jared Leto as playing one of the greatest, most infamous villains of all time. Given how awful of an actor the guy really is, it was obviously a performance that we'd never get a chance to see, and while I would never want to see Wiseau actually take on the serious role, I would LOVE to see a little bit of what we COULD expect should Wiseau actually take it on.
But Wiseau teamed up with Nerdist to make his own audition tape to play the Joker and it is just so mesmerizingly Wiseau. I guess the word is impersonate...? the actors who have played previous incarnations of the character. The worldwide man of mystery is just days away from releasing his second feature, Best F (r) iends, out March 30.
We were also blown away by how wonderful this audition was, which is why we're formally endorsing Tommy Wiseau as the next Joker.
