PCB had earlier announced that West Indies has confirmed to play three T20is in Pakistan early next month.
(Dunya News) - Pakistan Cricket Board's decision to bring PSL final from Dubai to Karachi brought smiles to many fans.
The revival of worldwide cricket in Pakistan began with the final of Pakistan Super League 2 previous year, which was held in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium amidst top-notch security and was a successful event with no casualties being reported and the overseas players too were satisfied with their one-day trip to the war-torn country.
Sethi also had a message for those doubting that the Pakistan Super League 2018 final will be held in Karachi.
Following the incident, Pakistan has played the majority of its "home" series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while Lahore has been the only destination for a select number of worldwide and PSL games played in Pakistan.
Najam Sethi, chairman of the PCB, also announced that he was in talks with West Indies Cricket for a Twenty20 tri-series in the US. "Good news is that West Indies will play three games, on [April, 1, 2 and 4], but these matches will be played in Karachi". That is how we intend to put Karachi back on the cricket map once again.
In view of the increasing demand of tickets for the PSL final, the cricket board has turned two general enclosures of National Stadium into VIP Enclosures.
"Reg DIckason and his men will be here during the PSL final and we have contracted them to oversee the West Indies games as well", Sethi said. The West Indies series takes place over 1st, 2nd and 4th April.
