Supernatural/Scooby-Doo Crossover Debuts First Images, Story Details

The First Images from the SCOOBY-DOO SUPERNATURAL Crossover Are Here

With the March 29th air date for "Scoobynatural" inching closer, a synopsis and a set of photos have been released for the episode via EW.

In the official teaser for Supernatural's crossover episode with Scooby-Doo, the boys find themselves sucked into the famed pooch's animated world where hijinks are sure to ensue.

Now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have our first look at the appropriately titled "Scoobynatural" via some images that can be viewed in the accompanying gallery.

The episode will open with Dean defeating a possessed dinosaur plushie in a shop.

The wait is nearly over for the episode Supernatural fans have been waiting for ever since the big announcement was made about a crossover with none other than Scooby-Doo.

But, later this month, the Great Dane with an insatiable hunger will cross paths with Sam and Dean Winchester in what's expected to be an unforgettable animated mashup.

Consequently, we shouldn't expect the typical Scooby-Doo episode ending with the initially-terrifying monstrous threat revealed to be some miserly landowner under a cheap mask or old-timey SCUBA suit, utilizing special effects trickery.

What do you think of the first images from the Scooby-Doo crossover episode?

"Once they get over their amazement at being in the cartoon, two things happen", co-showrunner Robert Singer told EW. Krieg, in particular, has a long history working in the Scooby-Doo realm.

Given that hefty list of things to take care of, it's perhaps surprising that Supernatural season thirteen has time to include a crossover with iconic animation series, Scooby-Doo. The brothers are pulled into an episode of Scooby-Doo shortly after setting up the TV.

But it is not a caricaturish episode, it is a "Supernatural-level monster at work", according to co-showrunner Andrew Dabb.

According to Singer, Dean's knowledge of the Scooby-Doo franchise will serve him well in the ensuing mystery, which is based off a 1970 Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode called "A Night of Fright Is No Delight".
