During Thursday's Nintendo Direct, Square Enix Producer Masashi Takahashi revealed new details about the developer's Octopath Traveler.
For fans of inventive JRPGs, Octopath Traveller will be one of the most highly anticipated games heading to the Nintendo Switch, coming form the minds behind the Bravely JRPGs on 3DS.
Two new characters were revealed today out of the eight that will make up the cast of the game. There's Tressa the Merchant, whose own unique ability is, unsurprisingly, purchasing items as well as Alfyn, an apothecary whose own path action, inquire, allows him to gain additional intel from NPC's. Tessa can buy exclusive items from NPCs, while Alfyn can speak to people to learn information other party members cannot. In addition to the standard edition, a special version was also revealed including a pop-up book, map, sound selection CE and coin.
