Nicolas Cage is Superman in Teen Titans GO! to the Movies

Nicolas Cage Will Voice Superman In Teen Titans Go! To The Movies

Long-time superman fan and Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage earned the role as the animated series' man of steel, which he couldn't be happier about. Cage nearly took on the role of Superman for director Tim Burton in the Kevin Smith-scripted Superman Lives, but production troubles prevented the film from ever getting off the ground.

The film belongs to the continuity of Teen Titans GO!, a frantic, animated reimagining of Cartoon Network's Teen Titans, the popular superhero TV series that aired from 2003 to 2006. It hits theaters on July 27, 2018.

Animation's upcoming Teen Titans GO! to the Movies, according to USA Today.

This clip from The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? shows a glimpse of what might have been, as Cage put on an early costume from the film alongside Burton and a few others.

Along with Cage as Superman, the movie will also feature the voices of singer/songwriter Halsey in the role of Wonder Woman and rapper Lil Yachty playing the role of Green Lantern. Does being a superhero make you any better at video games? Adding Cage to the cast as Superman, however, is a masterstroke. But not as thrilled as Cage, who named his son Kal-El and called his unmade Superman movie "the Superman" movie. Speaking to USA Today, the film's executive producer Sam Register described the "great responsibility" the team felt when filling out their cameo cast.

The Go! franchise follows Robin (Scott Menville), Starfire (Hynden Watch), Raven (Tara Strong), Beast Boy (Greg Cipes) and Cyborg (The Walking Dead's Khary Payton) as they kill time between battling bad guys. Hopefully, he will be granted a big screen comeback sometime soon, especially when audiences finally get a taste of his take on Superman in Teen Titans GO! It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them.
