Met Eireann are predicting that more snow will fall on Ireland on St. Patrick's Day of all days - so if you're heading out to watch a parade, better add a few extra layers.
There are rumblings from certain forecasters online of a possible Beast from the East 2.0 for St Patrick's weekend.
The miserable run of bad weather following on from the big freeze at the start of the month continues with a status yellow wind and rain warning in place across the country on Wednesday and Thursday.
"On Saturday, St Patrick's Day will be dry in many areas, with some bright or sunny spells".
"Some of the showers will be of rain or sleet, but some snow showers will occur also", Met Eireann said. "It's a bit far off at the moment but there is the likelihood of snow showers particularly in the east. Temperatures look like they'll be around 3 to 5 degrees". "Very cold and frosty again on Sunday night, but mostly dry". Winds will be strongest along southern areas at first but gradually extending to all parts of Leinster by late morning and afternoon. That was an exceptional weather event.
"On Friday, temperatures will range from freezing zero degrees Celsius to four degrees Celsius".
