Oscar-winner Jordan Peele and his longtime collaborator Keegan-Michael Key are officially teaming up yet again for Wendell and Wild, a new stop-motion animated film from Nightmare Before Christmas helmer Henry Selick.

This project has been in the works for several years, but it is finally going forward with Netflix providing the financing and the distribution.

Wendell and Wild follows two scheming demon brothers - Wendell (Peele) and Wild (Key) - who are forced to face off against their arch-enemy in order to earn their way out of hell.

Peele is also working on the script with Selick and Clay McLeod Chapman, which is also being turned into a book for publication around the time the film hits the streaming service.

Selick will also produce Wendell and Wild, along with Peele via his Monkeypaw Productions banner and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein for The Gotham Group. Yep, this is definitely a Henry Selick movie. Key and Peele will provide the voices of the brothers, while acclaimed Argentinian artist Pablo Lobato will design the characters. Selick is also now developing a TV series based on the horror-themed video game Little Nightmares.
