Jets bring back QB Josh McCown; also in talks with Teddy Bridgewater

He entered Minnesota's Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals this past season, during which received a standing ovation, but Case Keenum already had solidified himself as the Vikings' starting quarterback by that point.

Shortly after giving Josh McCown a one-year, $10 million to return to NY, the Jets agreed to sign ex-Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Dianna Russini. After the season, he said he wanted to continue playing, but the Jets emerged as possible contenders in the sweepstakes for Cousins.

Josh McCown agreed Tuesday on a one-year deal to return to the Jets, agent Mike McCartney announced on Twitter.

Once the Crowell deal became public knowledge, Maccagnan and the Jets caught their biggest fish of the day, adding former Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson.

Bridgewater played for the first time in November after suffering a gruesome knee injury before the 2016 season. NFL Network insider Ian Rapaport is reporting that the deal is worth approximately $28 million per year.

Cousins threw for 4,093 yards and 27 touchdowns last season with the Redskins.

The 28-year-old was widely viewed as the top cornerback available in free agency and joins a well-stocked secondary with the Jets, who are coached by former National Football League safety Todd Bowles.

After addressing the quarterback position, the Jets stuck with offense and handed a three-year deal to former Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell. At 25 years old, Crowell is still a young player with a future ahead of him. Williamson is four-years younger than Davis and came in much lower than Davis' reported asking price of $9-10 million per year. He will team up with Darron Lee in the middle of Todd Bowles' defense.

Bridgewater is a free agent with Minnesota having declined his fifth-year contract option.
