A local Indian lifestyle and entertainment news website recently shared a picture with its audiences claiming that it is Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's new look in upcoming movie "Thugs of Hindustan". "The costumes are very heavy, so there's some pain, otherwise he is fine", she told reporters outside Parliament. We know this because the actress-turned-politician is legally bound to declare her and her husband's wealth while filing nomination as candidate for the Rajya Sabha. This is a jump of more than 100 per cent from 2012 when she had declared assets worth ₹493 crore. But, now the legendary couple has immovable property worth Rs 460 crore whereas their movable assets have risen to Rs 540 crore from 343 crores in 2012.
Besides, there is a 3,175 sqm residential property in Brignogan Plage in France, properties in Noida, Bhopal, Pune, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Alongside, Jaya Bachchan also owns a 1.22-hectare agricultural plot worth Rs 2.2 crore in Kakori area of Lucknow.
Further, it was stated that she and her husband owned jewellery worth Rs 62 crore. Amitabh also owns a tractor and a Tata Nano.
His movable assets include Rs 1,300 crore in Delhi banks and Rs 1,900 crore in banks in Mumbai. Additionally, Mr Bachchan also owns a pen worth more than ₹9 lakh. It has been reported that the Bachchans also own 12 vehicles between them, worth over INR130 million. The record of being the richest Parliamentarian was previously held by Ravindra Kishore Sinha, who declared assets worth 8 billion in 2014. This is is Jaya's third term as a Samajwadi Party MP from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
