Asus Zenfone 5 Max surfaces showing 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 660
Now Zenfone 5 Max has been spotted on the GeekBench benchmarking website with model number ASUS_X00QD. The phone manages a decent single-core score of 1518 and multi-core score of 5386 when compared with devices with Snapdragon 600 series SoC that we have reviewed in past. Also, it is good to know that the Asus Zenfone 5 Max will come with Android 8.0 Oreo which should be expected from each and every smartphone releasing in 2018 as Android Oreo was released previous year.
The Geekbench scorecard doesn't reveal much other meaningful information about the Zenfone 5 Max, but we bet more leaks are on the way to fill us in.
As far as the latest device is concerned, this will be named as the Asus Zenfone 5 Max which is the successor to the Asus Zenfone 4 Max which was announced by the company past year.
If you're using a ZenFone 3 or ZenFone 4, ASUS has started rolling out its latest Android 8.0 Oreo. It comes with Android 8.0 out of the box, 5.7-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, which means they are bringing the notch, 3/5mm jack and a Type-C port. Furthermore, the phone will come packed with 4GB of RAM. A fingerprint scanner could be placed at the back of the phone, right below the camera module. However, ASUS has also included some of its own features like long screenshot, "more friendly" Setting UI design, and, improvements to launcher among others.
As announced through Asus ZenTalk forums on Monday, the Android 8.0 Oreo update, already available, could take around a week to reach all the ZenFone 4 Pro (ZS551KL model) handsets globally.
