Apple today announced it will host its 29th annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose from June 4 through June 8. Apple says, "This summer, we invite thousands of talented minds from around the world to join us and turn their ideas into reality".
That's because Apple is expected to introduce universal apps that would run across Macs, iPhones and iPads.
Apple has reportedly shelved many exciting features intended for iOS 12, including a home screen redesign and several app tweaks. Students can now visit the WWDC website for details on how to apply.
We also expect to see overdue hardware announcements, as none have been made by Apple in 2018.
Apple has shown an increasing interest in monitoring and collecting health and fitness data, with its smartwatch at the center of those efforts.
Despite being developer-focussed events, these events are significant to everyone else as well because it's at these events that Apple announces updates to the software that powers its iconic devices. Every year at WWDC, Apple developers get an insight of what the company is working on while getting the opportunity to share their experiences with others. Meanwhile, the primary audience for the Mac Pro (and to a lesser extent, the iPad Pro) included WWDC attendees.
