A New Poll Confirms That Most Americans Think President Trump Is Racist

The Associated Press and NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll found 57% of those who answered believe Trump is racist and this included more than eight out of every 10 African Americans.

The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll on progress for African-Americans was conducted by NORC from February 15-19. Similarly, 47 percent believe that Trump has disadvantaged African Americans through his administrative actions.

Trump has rejected accusations of racism, telling reporters at one point, "I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed". "That I can tell you".

The poll also found that almost half of Americans believe that race relations have worsened since Trump took office.

When analyzing the specifics of the survey, it is revealed how 57 percent perceive Trump's policies as detrimental for Muslims, alongside the 56 percent who believe the POTUS' policies are not particularly favourable for Hispanics.

While whites are still the overwhelming majority of the population, nearly 18% of us are Latino and 13% African American.

Additionally, the poll found that 51 percent believe people of color face disadvantages getting ahead, whereas 60 percent said whites have an advantage getting ahead in the U.S.

For results reported among all adults, responses among blacks are weighted to reflect their proportion among all US adults. 73 percent of Democrats are convinced that his policies have been harmful for black individuals, while only 14 percent of Republicans agree with the opposing party's views. The original sample was drawn from respondents selected randomly from NORC's National Frame based on address-based sampling and recruited by mail, email, telephone and face-to-face interviews.
