Reliance JioFiber commercial launch nearing, to initially offer 100Mbps free broadband

Reliance Jio Fiber expected to launch next month with disruptive offers Report

Telecom operator Reliance Jio is expected to launch its own Fiber to the Home (FTTH)- JioFiberbroadband service by the end of March this year, according to a report by TelecomTalk. The company has already revolutionized the Indian telecom industry and now is all ready to launch its own low-priced internet services with JioFiber.

Initially, JioFiber is expected to offer 100mbps speed with a data limit of 100GB.

JioFiber is currently in the testing phase in as many as 10 cities across the country for over six months now.

The JioFiber Preview offer will provide 100GB of free high-speed data per month for the first three months.

Interesting thing here is that fixed broadband prices are usually much lower than wireless data, a trend that prevailed before the mobile data rates headed south.

The new service will create another major wave of disruption, this time in the broadband sector.

Even though we don't know the exact launch date of the Reliance JioFiber, rumors indicate that the system will unveil by the end of Q1 2018.

Already, other broadband service providers such as Airtel, ACT Fiber, BSNL and MTNL have slashed the pricing of their broadband plans.

- Reportedly the company will offer give its own router during the installation and you can connect several devices to it for high speed internet. Though the page was taken down by the company soon but the plans were already out. However, given its track record of extending the freebies for longer than promised, beta users are likely to enjoy an extended high-speed broadband service until the official launch.

It is also speculated that Reliance Jio plans to offer broadband and internet TV connection as a bundled offering. This means you may not have to pay for your landline, broadband and cable TV connection separately. Jio's DTH TV services could support more than 360 channels, and a "seven-day catch up option being given to users" as well.

The offer is sounding sweeter by the minute.
