Last month, Quavo was involved in a post-Grammy's brawl with famed jeweler, Eric The Jeweler, in the wee hours following the award show at 1OAK in NYC.
TMZ reports that the NYPD could be gearing up to arrest Quavo in relation to a fight that took place at a Grammy after party at 1Oak night club in NY.
The NYPD echoed that information in another statement when The FADER reached out: "There are no arrests, no warrant for Marshall and the investigation is ongoing".
Quavo's attorney, Findling, says his client is an innocent man, and he hopes NYPD & the Manhattan DA doesn't make a mistake by arresting & prosecuting him.
At that time, TMZ reported that Eric contacted Quavo "multiple times" over an alleged $10,000 debt owed to the jeweler, "but was given the run-around".
We'll have to wait and see how this one plays out. Billboard previously reached out to the NYPD following the Jan. 29 incident, "A complaint report for Robbery was filed for an incident that occurred on January 29, 2018 at approximately 0430 hours at [1Oak]", Detective Sophia T. Mason wrote in a statement on February 1.
"This is yet another example of a young African-American hip-hop star potentially being treated unfairly by the criminal justice system", Quavo's lawyer Drew Findling told TMZ.
