Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding details released

Meghan Markle and prince Harry

When news of Meghan's forthcoming marriage to Prince Harry was announced, Patrick wrote a heartfelt congratulations to his co-star. The wedding service itself will be conducted by Dean of Windsor, David Conner.

The couple has just confirmed they will venture out into the streets in a horse-drawn carriage after exchanging vows at St George's Chapel, inside the walls of Windsor Castle west of London, on May 19.

"Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle are hugely grateful for the many good wishes they have received since announcing their engagement", the Kensington Palace statement reads.

The palace said the pair were "very much looking forward" to sharing their celebrations with the public.

The royal wedding plans of Prince Harry and his American-bride-to-be Meghan Markle are firming up as the couple released more details Sunday of the nuptials while expressing thanks for the good wishes they've been showered with from around the globe.

Harry and Meghan hope that by having a procession, it will provide more of an opportunity for people to come together and enjoy the atmosphere of the day.

After the procession, the couple will join a reception at St George's Hall with their guests from the congregation.

Harry's father, Prince Charles, would later host an evening reception for close friends and family.

Last month, the second-in-line to the throne joked about whether or not he would be best man, saying: "He hasn't asked me yet, it could be a sensitive issue".

William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, married on a Friday and their service began at 11am.

Shortly after a midday wedding ceremony, the couple will make their first public appearance as husband and wife in a roughly two mile carriage procession. But security costs for the event are falling on taxpayers.

His children Charlotte and George are likely to be a bridesmaid and pageboy.

Kensington Palace say they will be revealing further details about the wedding day in the coming months.
