Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, along with BJP veteran LK Advani, inaugurates BJP's new headquarters at Delhi's Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg.

"This is an important day for BJP". The foundation stone of the headquarters was laid in August 2016 and it took 18 months to complete the construction.

World's largest party, if we believe the numbers claimed by the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), has finally got a new luxurious headquarters in the national capital, Delhi.

"Ours was a journey that began with greats such as Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya".

"I want to thank Amit Bhai and his entire team, that worked hard to complete the work on the BJP HQ within the desired time frame", PM Modi said at the inauguration ceremony. "Generations of workers have given their lives for the party", Modi said at the inauguration.

"Ours is a party committed to "Rashtra Bhakti" he said. The main building is seven-storey high, and the other two on the side have three storeys each, housing the offices of the party president and other senior leaders.

The new building is fitted with advanced communication tools, including video-conferencing, to help office-bearers co-ordinate official works with their counterparts in the state, ANI reported.
