London’s Medical Startups Challenge Welcomes a New Judge, Max Polyakov
Cofounder of Association Noosphere and managing partner at Noosphere Ventures Max Polyakov was invited to become one of the judges of the Medical and Biological startups challenge, which will take place in May 2018 in London, MBios Challenge. Max Polyakov is a well-known, Ukrainian science enthusiast and initiator of many social projects and challenges such as Vernadsky Challenge, BestRoboFest, NASA Space App Challenge and many more. Events organized by Max Polyakov are mostly tech-oriented. Thanks to his support a lot of startups have made their way to become full-fledged companies.
The focus of the MBios Challenge goes in line with the spheres of business Max Polyakov focuses on. Moreover, Max Polyakov even earned a master’s degree in medicine. It is clear that young inventors will be able to get valuable insight into the viability of their startups from a technology perspective, thanks to Max Polyakov’s experience.
Max Polyakov accepted the invitation to become a judge of MBios because, nowadays the healthcare industry has become more tech-oriented than ever. The healthcare industry is becoming more and more digitized every day. It shows more and more tech products that help doctors to more accurately diagnose illnesses, prescribe treatments and monitor patient progress.
MBios is a joint project of Innovation House and the Ukrainian Medical Association of the United Kingdom (UMAUK). The Medical & Biological Startup Challenge is designed to help Ukrainian inventors that live outside of Ukraine reach their potential. Such startup challenges are open opportunities to demonstrate projects that are in the idea stage, to prototype stage to an intentional panel of judges which includes engineering specialists, business gurus, and investors.
Besides Max Polyakov, the Ukrainian portion of the panel includes such well-known personalities as Michael Ryabokon, cofounder of the Association Noosphere and the Noosphere Engineering School. Another judge is the Deputy Director of Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Vadym Biloshytsky.
The competition period lasted until February 17, 2018. The finals will be held at the Medicine and Innovation UMAUK Annual Conference in May 2018. Such kind of challenges provides the participants with an opportunity to present their projects to the world. Finalists will also be able to take part in discussing the hot healthcare topics among with leading lecturers, scientists and researchers, including Max Polyakov.
