Italian authorities have identified the suspected gunman who shot six African foreigners in the Italian city of Macerata.

The far-right League party, under whose banner Traini previously unsuccessfully stood for local elections, has pledged to carry out mass deportations of 150,000 migrants within a year if elected.

Policemen have identified the defendant as Luca Traini, a 28-year-old Italian boy with no previous background.
