MI offensive coordinator Tim Drevno is stepping down after three years with the team, sources told Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman.

Sources told Feldman that Ed Warinner, a former offensive line coach at Minnesota and Ohio State who was hired by the Wolverines as an analyst, is expected to take over the offensive line.

Frye served as the offensive line coach at Boston College, where the Eagles have established themselves with a strong running game behind an improved offensive line. He accepted an analyst job with the Wolverines last month.

Tim Drevno has been on Jim Harbaugh's staff at MI for three seasons. Wilton Speight left the Purdue game and was lost for the season with a back injury, while Brandon Peters missed the second half of Wisconsin and the Ohio State game with a head injury. Their offense ranked 91st in the nation with 25.2 points and 105th with 348.9 yards per game last season. His son is a Vanderbilt signee in the 2018 class.

The movement continues an offseason coaching carousel that's spun at warp speed in Ann Arbor.

This is a major development for MI, which has fallen short of expectations in each of the last two seasons. While he was at Florida, the Gators fielded one of the worst offenses in the SEC.
