Colts May Have Found an Offensive Coordinator for Frank Reich

Colts general manager Chris Ballard

He was drafted by former Colts general manager Bill Polian, who quickly identified him as a potential coach and helped him get into the business 21 years later in Indianapolis.

Sirianni will work under new Colts head coach Frank Reich, continuing a partnership that existed when both were with the Chargers. "It's the question of who's the toughest the longest".

"It's been a process to get here", owner Jim Irsay said Tuesday. "I look forward to working with Frank to deliver a championship-caliber team to the city of Indianapolis". "I can't say enough about just him being in his prime, his experience, everything he brings to the table".

"I could not be more excited. I sense our fans understand how excited we are and what a flawless fit this is for us".

Wentz was arguably the NFL's MVP front-runner (3,296 yards, 33 TDs) until he tore the ACL in his left knee late in the season.

His coaching career began in 2006 as an intern on the team that won Super Bowl XLI. "Okay. We'll see what happens when we meet again". "But what we get a chance to do is choose how we react to it", Ballard said.

The two worked together in Indianapolis from 2008-2011, with Reich serving as Manning's quarterbacks coach in 2009 and 2010.

A press conference to officially introduce Reich is scheduled for Tuesday. No phone calls, no texts.

One thing Reich did reveal during his press conference is that he had zero interest in any other coaching jobs around the NFL.

"Character matters, it matters a lot", Reich said.

The team has yet to announce anything so nothing is official until that is done by the organization. Reich was responsible for leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl in conjunction with Doug Pederson.

Reich, a quarterback for 14 National Football League seasons, most notably as Jim Kelly's backup with the Buffalo Bills in the 1990s, could not entirely avoid the elephant in the room. He hit on everything from his scheme preferences (fast-paced, aggressive and diverse) to his expectations from his players ("toughness and "discipline") to the reason he wasn't more highly sought after in the original head-coach interview carousel (he told his agent he was unavailable while the Eagles were in the playoffs)".
