Woman Arrested For Husband's Murder After 'How To Kill Someone' Search

Woman Arrested After Husband Found Dead Police Say She Looked Up ‘How to Kill Without Getting Caught

Police in Texas arrested a woman for the murder of her husband after her search history implicated her in the crime.

According to the report, Garner called 911 to report her husband had been shot by a masked man with a pistol who had invaded their Maypearl, Texas home on January 2.

Sandra Louis Garner, 55, from Maypearl near Dallas, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 10 in connection with the murder of her husband, Jon Garner, 42, the Midlothian Mirror reported.

The weapon was found there during a second search of the property, but reportedly wasn't there on the first search the day of the murder. In her 911-call she told police "she was awakened that night by two gunshots and saw a masked male holding a gun and flashlight inside her residence".

Sandra Garner has been charged with murdering her husband Jon Garner. In her words, the killer had problems with her husband for work reasons. She also told police that the gunman told her he wasn't there to hurt her and that he made her open the family safe and fork over $18,000.

During a second search of the home several days after the shooting, investigators reportedly found a handgun inside a auto parked outside, which matched the caliber used to kill Jon Garner.

One device, authorities said belonged to Garner, contained an internet search for "how to kill someone and not get caught".

Police later analyzed electronic devices in the home and discovered Sandra Garner's telling online search.

"It was apparent this firearm was moved to the vehicle after the initial search", Norton told the Waxahachie Daily Light. The gun reportedly wasn't there when authorities searched the same vehicle on January 2 and police believe Garner moved it after the first search.

Garner is being held at Ellis County Jail on $2 million bail. Jon worked for DHL as their General Manager.
