After some hype over the last few days, Nintendo dropped a Nintendo Direct Mini today and it came with a plethora of announcements.

Starbreeze Studios and Overkill have announced that Payday 2 on Nintendo Switch will have access to a new playable character as a timed exclusive and a CRIME.NET Local Play mode. Among them are a new Mario Tennis game (a sports game franchise featuring characters from the Mario universe that was initially released in North America in 2001) and a remastered version of the blockbuster action adventure game Dark Souls. The update will also add new outfits and Snapshot Mode filters.

New titles being added to the Switch were the highlight of the presentation. The update will also include new outfits for Mario, like a Knight costume. There's Assist Mode which lets you tweak different facets of its difficulty such as pace and damage taken along with B-side chapters that have greater challenges. The update is coming in February. Expect it for the Nintendo Switch this summer. The full game will be released on February 9th in the American and European territories. The three characters listed will be in Wave 1 on January 31, while Blastoise (Battle), Celebi (Support), and Mew (Support) will be in Wave 2 on March 23.

It's a ladies-only affair with SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy.

A new DLC pack, known as Battle Pack, is also available to purchase now for Pokkén Tournament DX. The DLC will be available this Spring. Funky can use his surfboard to hover in mid-air and stomp on spikes. Explore a forest and use your song to interact with the creatures within. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze arrives on Switch on May 4.

That is Joy, a Japanese computer whiz that wears a custom LED light mask that changes her appearance as she sees fit.

You'll be able to sing to your heart's content when Fe releases on February 16th.

"A modern take on the action platformer", Celeste is the story of Madeline, who can pretty much climb everything and dash like nobody's business. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a launch title and has sold more than 4.5 million copies worldwide as well as racking up numerous "Game of the Year" awards.
