Auckland Aces all-rounder Sam Curran will join elder brother Tom in England's Twenty20 squad after being called up for next month's Trans-Tasman tri-series with the Black Caps and Australia.
Sam Curran has been drafted following the decision to rest Joe Root, who has withdrawn following a gruelling winter schedule, Press Association reports.
England will play two group games against Australia on February 7 and 10 in Hobart and Melbourne before heading over to New Zealand for another two group matches against the Black Caps on February 13 and 18.
England also play five one-day internationals and two Tests on their tour of New Zealand.
The T20 tri-series will begin on February 3, with Australia facing New Zealand in Sydney.
Auckland missed out on reaching the final after losing the elimination final to the Central Stags, who lost the decider to the Northern Knights.
He was last week included in the squad to play the triangular T20 tournament."As has been confirmed in the media a first hearing date at court has been set for 13th February", Stokes tweeted Tuesday."In the circumstances, I have decided that it would not be right to join my teammates until after attending court on the 13th".
