Some conditions for Gates to follow is to not own any firearms and to be under mandatory supervision.

Gates, who served nine months out of a 30-month sentence for a felony weapons charge, was reportedly let go on parole.

Last March, the rapper was arrested and sentenced to 30 months in IL.

A popular rap musician is now free, after being released from a prison in the Quad Cities on Wednesday. Kevin Gates has already made his first post on Instagram which has already racked up close to half a million likes within a few hours.

Gates tweeted this photo after his release this morning. Fans began to speculate that "I'M HIM" could mean that Gates has new music on the way or that he will be running his social media networks again.
