Dell has revealed and released a refreshed version of its well-received XPS 13 laptop, with the upgraded machine featuring new design elements as well as sporting updated specs for 2018.
In an interview, Dell vice president Frank Azor said the designers took inspiration from fashion, where rose gold is a trending color and white accents are popular.
In another "cool" vein, Dell is releasing a new Ubuntu Linux-powered XPS 13 model at CES 2018, which will attract almost 200,000 attendees and take place in several locations January 8 through 12. The XPS 13 is often touted as delivering a 13.3 display in a body of a 12-inch laptop, thanks to its nearly borderless InfinityEdgedisplay.
Users can look forward to as much as 20 hours of per charge life from its 52 WHr battery, with the option to tweak performance to balance battery life, charging, thermals and acoustics or engage Dynamic Power Mode to kick in maximum power.
Besides its head-turning exterior and looks Dell has commented that the new XPS 13 is better in every measure. So how did we do that?
"We didn't compromise on battery life, either. with the new XPS 13, we will deliver over 19 hours of battery life, even with all that incredible performance in it".
Dell's XPS 13 is the physical embodiment of the "if it 'ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra.
XPS 13 9370 in rose gold is available from February, from £1,669.

Those heading to Las Vegas next week can see the new laptop for themselves at Dell's CES booth in the Venetian.
The Dell XPS packs a display that guarantees a peak brightness of 400nits.
