WWE Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns is now locked into a feud with former NXT Champion Samoa Joe, which is why the pair have been working with one another at live events this past week.
The Big Dog was disqualified during his match against Samoa Joe on Christmas Day for shoving the referee, an action for which he was fined £5,000. During a WWE Live event in Toronto on Saturday night, the two continued their feud. Do you think that the company should've stopped the match due to the blood despite the fact it's not televised?
"The Destroyer" kept telling WWE officials he was okay to continue the match, but the referee made a decision to call off the match, which was the main event of the night, and ended the show. You can check out the video footage below.
Joe is scheduled to face Reigns this Monday night on RAW in a match for Reigns' WWE Intercontinental Championship.
We don't know if Reigns will lose his title to Joe, but with Royal Rumble not too far away, and Reigns set to face off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the WWE Universal Championship, we have a feeling he won't be the WWE Intercontinental Champion for that much longer.
Also, last week, we saw a title match that ended in the disqualification of Roman Reigns, after Reigns went after Samoa Joe in revenge for taking out his fellow Shield brother, Dean Ambrose. At some point, WWE will turn him into a fan favorite the way they did with The Rock.
Joe, who had been cut over the course of the bout, was brawling at ringside when he sent Reigns into the barricade and the match was stopped.
Reigns has successfully defended his Intercontinental title against several opponents in open challenges on Raw, including Jason Jordan, Elias and Cesaro.
