Jessica Falkholt clings to life two days after life support switched off

Actress Jessica Falkholt has had her life support switched off following an accident that killed three members of her family

"On behalf of the family of Jessica Falkholt, St George Hospital has been asked to advise the media and the community that Jessica's life support has been switched off", a hospital statement said.

Falkholt, 28, remains fighting for her life following the auto crash that claimed the lives of her parents and sister on Boxing Day.

Tributes have poured in for the former Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt who sadly died on Thursday.

The driver of the 4WD that slammed into the family's auto, 50-year-old habitual traffic offender Craig Whitall, was reportedly travelling home from a Nowra methadone clinic when he was killed in the crash.

Jessica Falkholt's three family members were farewelled in a funeral at St Mary's in Concord on Wednesday.

"Their lives on this Earth ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense", he said.

They said Mr Whitall, who was driving the other vehicle, was driving with P-plates at the time, having only recently got his licence back.

After the crash, Darien Collier was one of the first people on the scene and pulled the sisters from the wreckage.

"The injuries on the two girls will be something I won't forget in a long time", he said.

It emerged that her young sister Raffy - actually her cousin - was a sibling of the Morgan brothers in the soap, so Raffy stayed in the Bay with them when Hope was jailed for her crimes. She then filmed a role in the USA film Harmony, which is set for release this year.

"She was incredible to work with, very passionate, 1,000 per cent with every take", Corey Pearson said. She's also had roles on other television dramas.

Camera IconLars, Vivian and Annabelle Falkholt also died in the crash.

The state government says there will be a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
