India Israel sign cyber security and eight other agreements

Netanyahu will be in India on a six-day visit from January 14, during which he will hold comprehensive talks with Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be hosting a private dinner for Netanyahu Sunday evening.

Netanyahu will be only the second Israeli PM to visit India and the first since Ariel Sharon in 2003.

On Wednesday, PM Modi will accompany Netanyahu to Ahmedabad. A meeting with President Kovind is also scheduled for Monday.

During his stay, he will also visit Gujarat and Mumbai.

"A special welcome for a special visit.PM @narendramodi personally receives @IsraeliPM @netanyahu at Delhi airport", tweeted Prime Minister's Office.

On Tuesday Israeli PM accompanied by his wife Sara would visit Taj Mahal in Agra and in the evening he will participate in the Raisina Dialogue in the capital.

In Gujarat, both the Prime Ministers will visit the Center of Excellence in Vadrad and inaugurate Center of Excellence for date palms in Bhuj.

In July past year, Modi visited Israel as the first Indian Prime Minister since the establishment of bilateral ties in 1992. They will also visit the iCreate innovation campus and center. On the same day the minister will leave for Mumbai.

A packed schedule on Thursday for the Israeli premier in Mumbai would include a "power breakfast" with Indian business leaders, a business seminar, attending two memorial services for the victims of the 26/11 attack at the Taj hotel and Nariman House and finally a gala event with Bollywood actors. The decision to rename the iconic landmark was taken during Modi's visit to Israel in July 2017.

Modi's meeting with Netanyahu in Jerusalem in July past year saw India and Israel upgrading bilateral relations to a strategic partnership with special focus on agriculture and water. Netanyahu had described the invitation as "a deeply moving moment for me, both in personal, but also in national and worldwide terms".

Asked whether purchase of Spike anti-tank guided missiles Z$I*(ATGMs) from Israel through the government-to-government (G-to-G) route will be discussed during Netanyahu's visit, Bhaskar refused to give a direct reply. Some of them include establishment of a Dollars 40 million joint fund to encourage Israeli and Indian business cooperation, agreements permitting and extending incentives to Bollywood filmmakers looking to shoot in Israel, efforts to promote growth in tourism, and a joint government project in the fields of water and agriculture.
