Elon Musk once attended a Silicon Valley 'sex party'

Elon Musk Insists A Drug-Fuelled Silicon Valley Sex Party Never Happened

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has admitted attending a notorious Silicon Valley "sex party".

As of now, there's little evidence to suggest that this Silicon Valley sex party actually exists, and it appears that this shindig at Jurvetson's house may have actually been an innocent costume party rather than some sort of orgy.

Female tech workers told Chang that women rarely saw big business payoffs as a result of attending these parties-a feeling corroborated by an unnamed male venture capitalist, who said he might decline to hire or fund a woman he had met at a sex party.

The sensational book claimed the soiree at former Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) investor Steve Jurvetson's California home developed into a "cuddle puddle" - referring to group sex.

Elon Musk responded Thursday to rumors that he attended a sex party hosted by a venture capital firm where attendees were allegedly taking an enhanced version of ecstasy and "stroking one another".

Musk's statement confirms that he was there, basically, but that he didn't participate or see any of the amusing business. "His impression was that it was a corporate party with a costume theme, not a 'sex party, ' and there was no indication that it would become one after he left".

"It's incredibly fucked up to use your power as an investor, or to allow your power to be used by others, to lure women to sex parties, or for this to be a means of women getting access to Silicon Valley's power structures", Biggar wrote.

"These sex parties happen so often among the premier V.C. and founder crowd that this isn't a scandal or even really a secret, I've been told; it's a lifestyle choice".

"I didn't exactly know it was a sex party, and I got bored at some point and went home". Then they tried to sell dirty water, and now, apparently, their corporate parties are bonkers enough that Elon Musk confused a sex party for a business party. Guests were shuttled from the summit to the party by the firm. But we were certainly primed for it - there was a sorta "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" thing going on.

In a statement to Business Insider, a representative for the Tesla and SpaceX founder confirmed he was there, but that he believed it was a "corporate" costume-themed party and spent his time there talking about technology and business before leaving at 1 a.m.

In her book, Chang describes the "toxic" culture within the United States tech industry and its exclusive sex parties, chauvinistic attitudes and emphasis on hedonism and excess.

"Brotopia: Breaking Up the Boys' Club of Silicon Valley" is scheduled for public release on February 6, as the tech world is just one of the industries being shaken up by myriad allegations of sexual harassment, assault and misconduct.

The most common drugs are "some form of MDMA, a.k.a. Ecstasy or Molly" - and some pills proudly display the logos of high-profile tech companies. "Eat, drugs, sex, repeat". Nerds on a couch are not a 'cuddle puddle.' I was hounded all night by DFJ-funded entrepreneurs, so went to sleep around 1am.

"The problem is that weekend views of women as sex pawns and founder hounders can't help but affect weekday views of women as colleagues, entrepreneurs and peers", Chang wrote.

She argued that some women's careers had been damaged after participating in the debaucherous behaviour.
