Initial media reports suggested a two-member expedition team, comprising Polish mountaineer Tomek Mackiewicz and Frenchwoman Elisabeth Revol, had gone missing while trying to scale Nanga Parbat.
Two European mountainclimbers, attempting to summit the peak, have reportedly struck on Nanga Parbat which is widely known as "Killer Mountain".
The two climbers were spotted by other climbers at the base camp of the mountain on Friday at an altitude of 7,400 meters.

"Two army helicopters, carrying four rescuers, are undertaking the rescue mission", the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Saturday.
Pakistan rivals Nepal for the number of peaks over 7,000 meters (23,000 feet) and is considered climbers' paradise, but fatalities are also common.
Nanga Parbat, known to climbers as "Killer Mountain", is one of the most unsafe peaks to climb in the world. The first successful winter ascent of the mountain was made as recently as February 2016.
