Disney announces Star Wars: Rivals, a PvP shooter for Android and iOS

Lenovo (YouTube) Star Wars: Jedi Challenges, the mobile VR/AR game from Lenovo that lets players become Jedi Knights and battle virtual enemies with a lightsaber, will add a free update in January 2018. It ... Highlighting legendary clashes, the character roster is an all-star lineup spanning multiple eras of Star Wars, allowing players to experience the saga's most famous conflicts.

In Star Wars: Rivals, players build the ultimate combat team, compete in fast-paced PvP arenas, and confront rivals such as Han Solo and Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, along with, Finn and Captain Phasma.

There is no shortage of Star Wars things these days, especially games, and it looks like we're getting yet another one for Android very soon. Players can unlock rare Heroes including popular characters like Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, and Poe Dameron, each with different traits in the game. Jyn Erso versus Director Krennic.

The idea behind the game seems to be reimagining and reliving classic Star Wars battles.

As the name of the game suggests, having rivals fight will earn players extra battle points.

Star Wars: Rivals is already available for pre registration on Google Play, so head on over there if you're interested. Lucasfilm and Disney just announced a brand-new game called Star Wars: Rivals that has me genuinely hyped.

Preregister on Android at the Google Play store or download it from the App Store if you're on iOS. On the other hand, iOS player will get exclusive access to Rebel Special Forces (SpecsForces) support units for a limited time when the game launches. As reported by Touch Arcade, the game already had its soft launch in Australia past year in June.

Disney and Lucasfilm has announced the upcoming Star Wars: Rivals, a third person shooter featuring your favourite characters from the franchise.
