David Luiz back in contention for Chelsea, but Hazard doubtful

Norwich manager Daniel Farke is relishing their FA Cup third round clash against Chelsea

David Luiz and Charly Musonda could both make their returns from injury.

Conte added that Hazard is nursing a calf problem.

Hazard was forced off during the closing stages of the 2-2 draw at the Emirates after taking a knock to his calf and it looks like the Belgian global won't be risked in the FA Cup this weekend.

Manager Antonio Conte has had to deny suggestions the player's extended absence has been down to a personality clash, while the Brazilian has been linked with a January exit.

Norwich City head coach Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's one of the toughest draws you can get, against the reigning champions of the Premier League".

'I am a deep believer in cup competitions - we were brilliant in the Carabao Cup against Arsenal (losing at the Emirates Stadium after extra-time).

"I must make selection rotations tomorrow".

Over the festive period, they enjoyed a well-paced, if busy, fixture list and the only big-name absentee of late has been David Luiz. "He had a kick in his calf and we have to solve this problem".

And on the recent struggle by Alvaro Morata, Conte backed the Spanish striker to come good. "He has to continue in this way and for sure this situation will change".

In domestic cup competitions for Chelsea against non-Premier League opponents, Michy Batshuayi has had a hand in nine goals in four matches (seven goals, two assists), averaging a goal or assist every 40 minutes.

"The club is very happy for his commitment, for this player".

Despite the probability of numerous top-flight clubs opting to field a much-changed starting XI over third-round weekend, Farke believes the current state of play behind runaway leaders Manchester City will mean the FA Cup takes on a different dimension this season.
