Extremely cold and still windy... The morning will start out frigid, but by the afternoon we'll see temperatures closer to 30 degrees. Strong winds, however, and colder air will be the story into the weekend. We'll only peak at 8° in Lafayette tomorrow. After one last night of sub-zero temperatures (for the foreseeable future), the mercury will surpass a threshold not seen here in Lafayette in virtually two weeks! It will still be windy, so wind chill values will again drop to below zero. We're looking at widespread wind chills of -25 to -45° with colder chills on mountain summits and the Northeast Kingdom. Expect mostly sunny skies with a NW wind at 10 to 20 miles per hour.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 27. Winds will be much lighter on Sunday so wind chill will not be a big issue. Highs will be a few degrees warmer than Friday, and reach the middle teens. We finally get out of the deep freeze next week with highs potentially in the upper 40s by Friday with the chance of rain showers.
A windy and frigid Saturday follows with clouds and flurries north and partly sunny skies south. Temps will not make it to zero in all of northern NH and just a bit above zero elsewhere.
Ellen Page marries Emma Portner
Ellen wrote a sweet caption to accompany the photos, saying: "Can't believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife". Her voice trembling, she said: "I suffered for years because I was scared to be out".
