Battlefield 1 content outlined for 2018, Apocalypse DLC reveal 'imminent'

2018 is here and with it comes a smattering of new content, trials, and in-game events for Battlefield 1.

EA's Battlefield 1 came out late a year ago to rousing success, and the game is about to get a load more content in 2018.

Following the passing of a new year, Electronic Arts has shared plans for its brutal First World War shooter, Battlefield 1. With plenty of trials and in-game events to participate in, there's going to be something for every player. It kicks off January 16 and will remain available until January 22. Furthermore, the trial also allows base game players to try the content available in the In the Name of the Tsar and They Shall Not Pass expansions. With a steady flow of post-launch content since its late 2016 release, preparations are being outlined for its fourth and final downloadable content (DLC) drop, mysteriously titled "Battlefield 1: Apocalypse".

Prise de Tahure is another one of the game's night maps, and was added in July. Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners will also be able to get stuck in to the North Sea campaign portion of Turning Tides.

The rest of Turning Tides content, in the form of two new maps and new vehicles, will be available to Premium members later this month. We'll just have to wait a little bit longer.
