Arie sends two attention-seeking, nervous women home on 'The Bachelor'

And Arie Luyendyk Jr lived up to his reputation on Monday night's episode of The Bachelor when he locked lips with a staggering nine girls.

By the end of the night, we were down one case of vocal fry, one phobia queen and one potty mouth, leaving 15 women still in the ring, I mean the competition.

The Bachelor's first group date paid tribute to a certain Netflix hit with a wrestling date.

While Bekah M whipped her opponent, Krystal slammed Jacqueline into the ropes, Tia defeated Bibiana and Lauren B and Marikh opted for a more unconventional sensual match. He gives the group date rose to Bekah, though. Marikh and Lauren B, turn it sexual, more dancing and money and the final bout is Tia, the southern belle vs. Bibiana the bridezilla; the crowd loved it and Tia is the champ of the final fight. Later, Arie took Lauren S.to a one-on-one date at a vineyard. Unfortunately, Arie sent her home. She left and he wandered around aimlessly holding the flower while a string quartet played Debussy's "Clair de lune". After seeing Lauren's suitcase removed from the mansion, Krystal pontificated on how Lauren's early exit showed "how serious Arie is about this", which had Caroline pissed. Annaliese, that's who. You'll recall that last week's racing date had Annaliese experiencing PTSD from a childhood bumper vehicle incident.

Annaliese made it clear she was not a fan of dogs and anxious: "I've had a couple of scary dog experiences".

'Did I say something to hurt your feelings?' Angelina taunted.

Honestly, she didn't miss that much since Ashley, Becca, Jenna, Caroline, Brittany and Chelsea seemed incapable of getting the dogs to do even basic things like sit on command. Her desperation for Arie earned her a rose. However, Chelsea interrupted them for a second makeout session. Tia spends time with him next and Arie tells her it was "interesting" to see her get upset when the wrestling instructor yelled at her. Another woman gone before the rose ceremony. At the cocktail party, she set up a little stargazing activity for them, but Arie ventured to the front of the house with another woman and found it. Bibiana tried to interrupt and was rebuffed.

"There's more to country girls than moonshine and hay bales", the Hoxie fashion boutique owner wrote in a post accompanied by an eye-roll emoji. Annaliese later had a deep conversation with Arie in which she told him that she was struggling to read him. Arie told her that he didn't really see a future for them and sent Annaliese home before the rose ceremony. After she tried to get one more one-on-one moment, Arie chose to not give her a rose. She even said, "I wouldn't give me the rose". Meanwhile, Becca greets Arie and calls him a dork, and then they start making out.

Watch The Bachelor Winter Games when it premieres in February, and catch the next episode of The Bachelor on Monday at 8pm ET on ABC.
