Street Fighter V Arcade Mode Detailed, Will Be Shown at PSX

I don't know. What I do know is that Street Fighter 5's Arcade Mode is due on January 16, 2018.

Arcade Edition, the base game's 60 characters will be available to steer through six different narrative paths-culminating in 200 different illustrated and animated endings. Street Fighter V was seemingly released to appeal primarily to the professional fighting game community - lacking the sort of features that most mainstream consumers look for in their fighting games. Since its reveal, we've heard very little about Arcade mode, save for news that it'll be out early next year. Once you're sorted, you're thrown into the standard arcade ladder as you battle increasingly hard opponents. This includes being able to increase the number of rounds and difficulty before starting.

"Each path stays true to the characters present in the respective series", the post adds. "For example, you can only select Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Akuma, Laura, Urien, Alex, Kolin, and Ibuki in Street Fighter 3's Arcade path-Sean is represented through Laura while Kolin appears briefly in Gill's intro". Arcade Mode points are then accumulated each month and the player with the highest score after this getting a "unique Title".

Elsewhere, the falling barrel bonus stage makes a welcome return, and the developer also promises that the mode features over 200 endings "featuring gorgeous illustrations from various artists" - there'll be different unlock conditions for each of these such as completing a path or getting a ideal on the bonus stage.

Throughout the course of each arcade playthrough, you'll be given choices to fight one of two different characters.

It is specifically mentioned that you can actually customize the arcade mode options.

According to Capcom Unity, "you can head into the Gallery to find out the unlock condition for each ending". It will certainly take some time to unlock them all.

Finally, Capcom also announced that the Street Fighter V arcade mode will make its playable debut at the PlayStation Experience 2017.
