'Sicario 2: Soldado' Trailer Starts a War on Drugs

Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin are back to take down the drug cartels in the first trailer for "Sicario 2: Soldado", directed by Stefano Sollima. The much anticipated follow-up to 2015's surprise smash hit Sicario. Benicio Del Toro now calls it more of a "really hardcore straight line" and a "little more complicated".

After discovering that drug cartels are smuggling terrorists across the United States border, the Central Intelligence Agency sends Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) and former undercover operative Alejandro (Benicio del Toro) to eliminate the problem. Check it out in the player below, along with new photos in the gallery! Emily Blunt however, will not be returning.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) teams up with a former member of a Mexican drug cartel (Benicio Del Toro) to kidnap a kingpin's daughter. The first movie completed her story arc.

"You wanna see this thing through?"

Alejandro has been on a revenge mission to bring down the people that killed his family. Brolin is tasked with eradicating the threat, but he can not do so without unleashing the unpredictable and extremely violent character played by Del Toro.

Though not a direct sequel to 2015's Sicario, Soldado does see the return of Academy Award victor Benicio Del Toro as Alejandro Gillick and Josh Brolin as CIA Agent Matt Graver. The trailer arrives courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
