Presidency Slams Atiku Over Claim Buhari 'Banned From America'

Nigeria’s broken politics

I'm not running away from America.

In an interview conducted by Ovation Publisher, Chief Dele Momodu, the former vice president expressed confidence in his chances of defeating the possibly more popular Buhari at the polls. However, they did not decline me categorically. This is not peculiar to me.

"Today, he (Modi) is being treated to red carpet treatment in America". I fly to different parts of the world, including Europe.

Neither President Buhari nor Atiku Abubakar has publicly declared intention to run in 2019.

Speaking in a telephone interview with Premium Times on Friday, the politician said he did not give reasons in the letter because "for a party like APC, the shorter the better".

But what I can assure him is that the APC will win all the 44 local governments because of the growing supporters' base of Governor Ganduje. "He has wasted a lot of his massive goodwill", Atiku boasted. They are even now being sold into slavery. "Nigerians are exhausted of leaders who can not think big and work big", he added.

He said the only way the PDP would be able to restore its faded glory was to pick a formidable candidate.

"It was because of Kwankwaso that the chairman of the PDP was thrown out of office because they wanted to hand over the party structures to him ahead of his defection", Ilyasu revealed. "Some of those, whose names are being touted and bandied about, have not grown beyond their immediate domains", he added.

When reminded that Mr. Buhari's government has not hidden its resolve to fight corruption in Nigeria, Mr. Baba-Ahmed said "the government is lying".

Speculations about Atiku's run in with the US authorities stemmed from a broadband contract awarded to iGate, an America company which Williams Jefferson, then USA federal lawmaker from Louisiana, had interest in.

"That forum became simply dead on arrival".

President Buhari is at present in Jordan to compare notes with other world leaders on the war against terrorism.

"This fiction being passed off as truth is mind-boggling, coming from a former Vice President of Nigeria, who should know the truth".
