Oladipo explodes for 47 points to lead Pacers past Nuggets in OT

Then, Indiana got the first nine points in overtime to secure its fourth straight victory, outscoring the Nuggets 12-2 in the extra period.

After Denver led by eight with 3:51 left in the fourth quarter, in went on a 23-5 run over the remainder of the game. The Pacers guard had a career-high 47 points in the Indiana Pacers' 126-116 overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

In between, the Pacers finished the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run to tie it.

Denver outscored IN 35-22 IN the first quarter and led 61-59 at halftime. And that deficit grew. They had trailed by as many as 19 and had rallied back to make it a game again. But the key moment of the game came near the end of the first half when the Pacers hit their stride, climbing back into the game with a 21-8 scoring run to head into halftime trailing 66-59.

Lyles, who grew up in IN and went to high school in the Hoosier State, scored 15 points in the fourth and finished with a new career-high 25.

Watch the full highlights of Oladipo's performance in the video above. The former IN star has put together what has arguably been an All-Star caliber season thus far.

Oladipo set a new career-high 47 points on 15-of-28 (53.6 percent) shooting from the field and 6-of-12 shooting from downtown.

Lyles and Harris are two of the most recent well-known IN prep stars to make it to the National Basketball Association. Harris (Michigan State) and Lyles (Kentucky) were highly sought after recruits during their time in high school with Lyles winning a state championship his senior year. Denver is now 3-10 on the road.

Oladipo, who's a leading candidate for the league's Most Improved Player award, was stellar for the Pacers.

Celtics: Marcus Morris, who was acquired in last summer's trade with Detroit for Bradley, didn't play and is expected to sit out the next game before having his left knee evaluated in Boston. Since snapping a four-game losing streak Nov.10, the Pacers are 11-4. "We played against a very good Indiana Pacers team on the road, tough place to play, and we had our chances to win the game in regulation".

"It was just one of those games", Harris said.
