It takes place in the '80s and blends horror and science fiction and nostalgia together in a satisfying mixture that may strike a chord with you.
Netflix announced the news by first tweeting a yes or no poll for the question, "Should we make another season of Stranger Things?". This was a foregone conclusion, but at least it's all nice and official now. "We have an ending in mind, you know what I mean?" The first season won its fair share of awards to go alongside the critical accolades from its debut in 2016 and the second season (otherwise known as Stranger Things 2) dominated the pop culture conversation for weeks when it debuted in October. "If a lot of people continue to watch the show that's not reason enough to do another season". Five seasons seems to be the current plan, but that could always change. Netflix described the original season of Strangers Things as, "A love letter to the '80s classics that captivated a generation, Stranger Things is set in 1983 in, where a young boy vanishes into thin air".
In Season 2, we met Lucas' (Caleb McLaughlin) little sister and we already knew that Mike (Finn Wolfhard) had one as well, but do they know each other? The show, created by the Duffer brothers, has had vast success with its first two seasons and now we will be treated to a third.
No word on when the third season will start production or who might be added to the cast, but we can probably expect it to be streaming for our binge-watching pleasure sometime next year. We didn't want to do that again.
It's unknown what the plot line will be for Stranger Things Season 3.
It wasn't revealed if Stranger Things Season 3 would arrive in October of 2018, but that's what we're hoping for!
