Gujarat polls: Senior leaders cast their votes; 12% voting till 10 am

In Maninagar, the constituency once is a symbol for the seat of PM Modi, Congress has given a ticket to foreign-educated young face Sweta Bhrambhatt in opposition to BJP's sitting MLA Suresh Patel. The election is being seen as a "prestige battle" for Prime Minister Modi and a litmus test for the leadership of Congress President-elect Rahul Gandhi. Congress now has 39 seats and one each with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and an independent. The voter turnout in the 2012 assembly election was 71.3 per cent.
