Genie Bouchard has met her Twitter date for the second time

Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard spends more time with Twitter date John Goehrke

Bouchard posted Wednesday as she shared a picture with the lucky Patriots fan John Goehrke.

One was obviously the Patriots, who rallied from a 28-3 deficit and beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime.

Canadian tennis star Genie Bouchard, who made good on a promise to go on a date with some random dude on Twitter over a Super Bowl bet last February, posted a photo of the two on her social media accounts.

But the game wasn't over, and Goehrke thought he'd try and turn the cocky tweet in his favour, replying 'If Patriots win we go on a date?' And, much like Batman, Goehrke became the hero we needed but probably didn't deserve.

The two attended a Nets game together in Brooklyn last February after Bouchard got burned by the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Well, it may have taken all the way until December but Goehrke has finally worked his way back into the most important part of many athletes' lives these days - their social channels.

Potential for a future Hollywood production of this love story for the ages aside (sorry Shakespeare), the odds are still stacked against Goehrke.

"I thought maybe there was a chance she would respond, but I thought there was no chance she'd actually agree to it", Goehrke told The Star earlier this year. We all know how that one turned out.

"It's fun and I'm going to follow through with it, because I want to honour my word", the 22-year-old said at the time. I didn't (expect him to be normal).

"We had a camera with us from the National Basketball Association the whole time, so maybe it wasn't the most normal date. but he was very laid back about it".
