Fade to Silence announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC

Steam accidentally leaks THQ Nordic's new game Fade to Silence ahead of The Game Awards

"As the player you take the role of Ash, a natural but tormented leader".

Black Forest Games has announced Fade to Silence, a "character-driven, group survival game". The game, developed by Black Forest Games, is set to come to Steam Early Access next week on December 14. In that role you explore a post-apocalyptic, frozen wasteland to gather the resources necessary to establish a refuge for survival.

Not much is known about the title other than its winter environment and that there will be numerous monsters that the player will face along the way. Developed by Black Forest Games, the studio behind Giana Sisters 2D, Giana Sisters: Dream Runners, and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Fade to Silence is described by its developer as a "survival game that truly elevates the genre".

"The dynamic weather system adds to the immersion of survival in a cold, corrupted world", the game's description reads. Players have to survive against the elements while battling monstrous enemies.

"Players will continually struggle to navigate dynamic, accumulating snow, real-time snow trails, and completely immersive weather effects such as blizzards", Black Forest promises. You'll also have access to a wolf sled to make even longer expeditions.

The plan is for approximately eight months of early access release followed by a final release in August 2018.
