Novak Djokovic is bringing aboard former top-10 player Radek Stepanek as a coach.
The new alliance was announced via Instagram Live, Djokovic taking questions from fans before speaking to Stepanek.
"The fact that he just recently retired speaks volumes of his love for the game".
"I am excited to join our forces and can not wait to compete again having a new team to back me up".
A quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon in 2006 was Stepanek's best singles performance in a Grand Slam, but in the latter years of his career Stepanek excelled in doubles, winning the US Open, Australian Open and Davis Cup (twice). The Serb has not played competitively since.
He parted company with Becker last year and ended a seven-year association with Vajda in May after seven years.
"I'm actually looking for another coach", said Djokovic.
During the exchange Djokovic asked his new coach "what are you up to now?", to which the Czech replied "do you have something for me?"
"As long-time friends off the tennis court, I believe that our friendship and similar views will translate onto the court as well, and we will share some memorable moments together".
Now 12-ranked Djokovic is expected to return to action at an exhibition event in Abu Dhabi from Dec.28-30.
