Death Stranding gets even more freakish with its Game Awards trailer

Watch the unhinged new trailer for Kojima and Del Toro's Death Stranding

There is still no game play footage, but based on the trailers it's safe to say that the game will feature plenty of Kojima's infamously weird ideas.

The mightily mysterious Death Stranding from Kojima Productions has just had new footage showcased at The Game Awards 2017.

As usual, and as you probably expected, the trailer leaves us with more questions than we had before and answers basically none. It appears that Reedus' character has crash landed somewhere risky, where invisible creatures roam the land.

The new trailer gave fans a further glance at the dark world of Death Stranding and features a hefty amount of Reedus in a grey hazmat suit. "Then came the next explosion, an explosion that will be our last".

"We are back together", creator Hideo Kojima said on stage after the trailer reveal.

"And nothing's going to stop us this time", Reedus replied, referring to the cancellation of Silent Hills by Kojima's former employee Konami.

Norman Reedus is the main character and Mads Mikkelsen is also starring in the game. Currently, the game is still in development for PS4 without a tentative release date.
