David Cassidy Cuts Estranged Daughter Katie Cassidy Out of His Will

David Cassidy purposely left his daughter Katie Cassidy out of his will.

David passed away on November 21, 2017, following being admitted to a hospital after suffering from organ failure.

According to "The Blast", David Cassidy's $150,000 in assets were entailed to his son Beau, 26, while daughter Katie, 31, was left out entirely, reports PEOPLE.

In the papers drafted in 2004, Cassidy stated that he has two children, but "any references to his "child or children" are only to Beau and NOT to Katie. It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy".

Earlier in 2017, David told People that he no longer had a relationship with the actress.

It comes just weeks after Katie posted a touching message on social media following her father's death saying "Words cant express the solace our family's received from all the love & support during this trying time".

"She has a completely different life", he told the magazine. I was her biological father but I didn't raise her. Katie was mostly raised by her stepfather, Williams' husband, Richard Benedon.

Katie, who now stars on the TV superhero drama Arrow, had an estranged relationship with her father. Katie and Cassidy were last pictured together at a red carpet event in 2007. The documents also revealed that Cassidy's three half-siblings - Ryan, 51, Patrick, 55, and Shaun, 59 - were given his music memorabilia.

Days after his dad's death, Katie penned a tweet reminding her fans to show their gratitude to those close to their hearts while they still have time.

The will was originally filed in 2004 and named his then-wife, Susan, as the personal representative under the will. When the couple split in 2016, Cassidy will was handled by his cousin.
